Phoe's Story
The story below is that of a puppy we placed in what was understood to be a pet only home, but unfortunately
was not so. One of our worst fears came true in placing this particular puppy and we want to tell her story to
help people who view our website understand what lengths people go to to get what they want and hurt people
along the way as well as why we are so strict about our puppies not being placed in breeding only homes. In
trying to find a way to tell her story without being overcome with ill will or horrible feelings we have devised an
alternative to telling Phoe's story rather than the typical blog or complaint sites full of rants, tirade, and hate
towards the persons responsible for the events that took place. This alternative way may not agree with
everyone, some may not understand it, but personally I feel holding to this theme keeps both the attention of
the reader and doesn't have to be filled with verbiage dripping with disdain to tell a story.
Once upon a time in a kingdom not to far away lived a loving family who
wanted to bless families of all types with the ability to be loved by a puppy.
The queen and princess of this kingdom set forth with the goal of being
able to offer puppies of the highest quality and health to the families.

After 20 years of doing so, on one lovely November day the kingdom was
blessed with their most lovely litter of Boston Terriers to date. There were
seven gorgeous little ones born, each one more striking it's own way. Each
puppy the queen and princess were so very pleased to have produced.
This was one long awaited and very special litter for the kingdom. The
families that these puppies would be bestowed upon must be the most
perfect families ever found for such deserving puppies.

The queen and princess set forth matching the puppies with only the best
homes. The puppies were to be pets only, pets that would forever become
a part of their families hearts. These puppies were never to be used for
breeding purposes, NEVER!

All of the puppies were very much loved, however there was one distinct
blue coated, white faced little girl nicknamed Dancer that had stolen the
princess' heart. Dancer slept with the princess at night and always seemed
to get an extra kiss before the princess would leave on adventures. Dancer
was a very special puppy.

On a day that began like any other, but was assured to change the lives of
those who lived in the kingdom forever, a new home presented itself for
Dancer. Approached by a dame who loved Boston Terriers and was
inquiring about Dancer, the princess interviewed a prospective home. This
lass seemed honest and seemed as though she wanted Dancer for all of
the right reasons, agreeing that she would never breed her the princess
approved and the contracts were signed. Dancer would now belong to this
dame with promise of never rehoming her without telling the princess
firstly. The princess was so happy as she felt as though she had found the
perfect home for Dancer...or so she thought.

A dark cloud befell the kingdom, for the first time in all the kingdom's
years, two puppies fell ill after leaving the kingdom and being in their new
homes. It was this bit of bad news the dame had been waiting on, for the
truth about herself and character were about to be unveiled.
You see the dame was actually an evil queen from another kingdom who
had told untruths to the princess. She knew how much the princess cared
for Dancer and told the princess everything she wanted to hear to gain the
princess' trust to own her special puppy. The evil queen was actually a
breeder who the princess concluded had every intention of breeding
Dancer after uncovering several lies the evil queen had told her. All that
was left for the evil queen to do now was somehow get the queen and
princess to void their contract with her, but how? Her puppy was entirely
healthy, but who was to know? Instigating a tirade and attacking the
kingdom to hurt the queen and princess was the route chosen,
manipulating others that were in her path the evil queen tried whatever she
could to hurt the kingdom. But alas, that did not provide the conclusion
that the evil queen wanted for the queen and princess did not give in to the
attacks, the bullying, the threatening, the harassment. The queen and
princess remained quiet with a watchful eye on everything the evil queen
was saying and doing.

As time went on the shrills of the evil queen lessened and her lies began
to be seen by far more than just the queen and princess. As the evil queen
became more quiet it concerned the princess more. What would become
of Dancer? Suddenly, she vanished.

It took nearly 6 months of silently and patiently waiting before the queen
and princess got an update on Dancer. An acquaintance from the past,
had presented with some information about Dancer. Much to the dismay of
the queen and the princess the acquaintance went on to say that the evil
queen had traded Dancer to a more dubious evil queen who was also a
breeder that had been trying to get a puppy from the kingdom for years to
no avail. What horrid news this was! What ever were the queen and
princess going to do now?

The queen and princess were not going to give up. For this dubious evil
queen was concerned with nothing more than gold and riches. If the queen
or princess could just intercede somehow to be able to buy Dancer maybe
she could come home? There was no way this dubious evil queen would
even speak to them, more of a plan was needed if there was going to be
any hope at all.

While trying to develop a plan that would succeed, the acquaintance
brought more bad news. Dancer had been sold to yet another breeder! It
was beginning to look like everything the queen and princess tried was not
helping them get any closer to getting Dancer back...what were they going
to do? SUDDENLY..the acquaintance brought forth their plan to help bring
Dancer home. For little did the queen and princess know, that the
acquaintance wasn't an acquaintance at all, they were Dancer's Fairy
Godparent and with their help, Dancer was going to come home.

Over a period of 8 extremely stressful months, through many tear soaked
handkerchiefs and restless nights, Dancer's Fairy Godparent was able to
help bring Dancer back to the kingdom. Dancer, not even being a half a
year old, had lived in 6 states, been through 5 different homes, and was
passed around like she was trade for these evil queen breeders to add to
their programs. Finally after 8 months Dancer was flown back home to a
very excited princess. This story proves that no matter how much wrong
that may have been done to you, with positivity, hard work, and
perseverance through even the toughest of hard times and heart break
you will be rewarded.

Dancer is now living in the lap of luxury with the queen and princess in the
kingdom. Because of someones greed for wanting to breed Dancer the
kingdom was put through a lot of grief. The kingdom has been beaten on,
stomped down, pushed around, but they will succeed. With that, Dancer
shall now be named "
PHOE", short for PHOENIX. Because the kingdom
of Cypress will step out of these flames and overcome. Phoe is finally
home and the kingdom could not be happier as they would gladly do it all
over again just to have their baby home.

THE END...Now isn't that a Happy Ending?
The above video was taken the day we picked up Phoe from the airport, her first
day home and the first time I had held her in over 6 months. If this video is not
